Wordpress: Can't figure out what happens when people login at my site.

The guy who checked for me just can't get in at all. The login box came with the premium WPSN2 Wordpress theme and I'd like it to stay, I just need it to be hooked up correctly and I don't understand why people can't register and login. Would a plugin like Mingle help? Any help integrating this...
