Anyone know how I can get info on a domain owner?

I'm just looking for info on how I can contact a domain name owner. I have tried Whois and only found a name, also tried the website but it only comes up with the "cannot display webpage" page. The owner has had a HUGE offer on the name to hold it but wants to sell now so Im gonna send an offer and...
