What extentions do unrecognised states use?

Lately I've been reading some quite interesting articles about the likes of Northern Cyprus, Transnistria, ... States that are unrecognised by the UN (and thus don't have an own domain extention) but that de facto function fully independently from the country they're supposedly "occupying" part of....
