Dell Inspiron 6400 doesnt boot

Hello all I have a dell inspiron 6400(1.6 Ghz Core Duo processor with 2 GB RAM). The battery of the laptop is dead and even the DVD drive functions very rarely(:-\). when i power my latop on, the gray status bar completes itself, then the windows XP screen comes. After 2 sec, a blue screen comes...
