Domain Name Leasing

Hello everyone, I thought about the possibility of leasing or renting a domain name to someone with re-directs to their site. Would this be a reasonable thing to do? Has anyone else done this? or know of anyone doing it? This way an end user doesn't have to pay a large ammount of cash up...
