Geraldo Rivera (Fox News) let geraldo.com drop??

If this is in the wrong section, please move. I dont know how many of you noticed that Geraldo Rivera let his domain name drop. He has no trademark registered. Are there still risks involved with acquiring this domain? I am in the auction for it, but I have some reservation because of this.
